(the Panto), was a great success at the
Surrey Arts Centre Main Stage in December. Everyone loved this tale
of
King Arthur searching for
the ‘holey pail’. Arthur did get
the pail and saved the kingdom;
the witches failed and reformed;
all the love interests were happily matched up; Big Jock returned to his "clannly duties" with new potency; Mummy Penny got 20
new outfits at Boxing Day sales;
and Merlin and his twin brother,
the Wizard of Oz, tied for
first place in Sorcerer Idol!

Now, it's time for Fairies, the Sequel. In May, we will present the beloved Gilbert & Sullivan tale
of Iolanthe, a fairy
who married a mortal, bore a mortal/fairy son,
and was banished
to life under
water. After many years, she is
pardoned by the Fairy Queen and emerges from the stream. It is then
we will don
our magic fairy wings
for a
musical flight of fancy, full
of humorous twists and turns,
to
the story’s happy conclusion.
